And What is Your Excuse!
The number one excuse that the majority of our population has for not working out or eating healthy is “I don’t have the time.” Sixty six percent of our population is over weight or obese with that number just continuing to grow every year. And our children are starting to follow suit. Do you know that obesity is a known contributing factor in Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, certain types of cancer, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, gallbladder disease and fatty liver disease. If you didn’t know, this is something you must become aware of. What you eat, when you eat, how much you eat day in and day out affects your body in either a positive way or a negative way. WAKE UP, you and your habits are going to be the determining factor in when and if you wake up some day and hear you have Type 11 Diabetes or you have heart disease or one of the other results of a “I don’t have the time”, this is not important to me lifestyle of throw anything down my throat life thing and rush through my day.
Many, many people just go through life without correlating the relationship of what they eat and not exercising with certain diseases or health concerns they have developed. You get up in the morning , do your morning ritual (ie: brushing teeth, shower etc.) , head to the kitchen and have some joe, maybe throw some toast or cereal down your throat as you are headed out the door. Rush to take the kids to school, go to work or do errands. Before you know it, it’s dinner time, feeding the family probably something processed , delivery pizza or driving through a drive thru for some quick food on the run. Because you “Didn’t have time to” cook a meal at home. Then it’s time to do homework and the night time ritual and before you know it, it’s time for bed and you haven’t done any exercise for the day and you ate toast for breakfast (if you had anything for breakfast), Taco Bell for a quick lunch and some frozen meal you nuked for a fast meal before getting everyone ready for bed. If your are one of those people who are constantly saying “I feel like crap!”, or “I have no energy!”, or “I can’t sleep”, these are all classic symptoms to living a UNHEALTHY lifestyle.
So you have a decision to make. If you believe what you have read here and believe you and your personal decisions of whether to exercise or not or what, when and how much you eat are a huge impact on your current state of health then it is time for a lifestyle change. Or maybe you currently do some things right such as your regularly make meals at home and don’t add to many additives, or you occasionally go for jogs or strength train. I s it enough? I don’t know, deep down inside you I am sure the answer lies. When you are listening to a Doctor tell you this, this and this is wrong with you are you going to say “I don’t have the time” or any of the lesser reasons for not talking care of your body?
No, I didn’t think so..
